Our defence is no way aggressive enough, we barely put people on there back. And, im not talking about one person pounding someone on there back solo. As a team, we don't roll people in tackles, a hugely important aspect of the modern game.

Add to that:



1. Our speed coming off the defensive line is rubbish

2. We don't chase kicks properly/at all.

Isn't a lot of that due to poor morale, a lack of confidence within the squad as a whole and a general nervousness Teams who are generally on a bad run of defeats seem like there bickering, not a unit etc.



If you look at Hulls best 2 performances of late (Leeds at home and HKR away) they both came in games where they looked like taking a real pasting and seemed to loose the inhibitions and more or less said F*** it and suddenly looked as tho they were expansive and flowing.



They seem to me to be sacred witless of making a mistake and as such make loads, this then means they need to defend more and the confidence is so low that it takes the other team to 'take there foot off the gas' to allow FC to get some confidence flowing.



I personally don't think your that bad a team and should definitely have made the 8 this year with the squad you have (even with the injuries), the underlying thing I think that gives the team the nervousness and fundamentl lack of confidence is the negative vobe that seems to surroun the team. There never seems to be a news report that doesn;t somehow mention the atrocious injuries, players not getting in the country, lack of pivots, new players coming in to replace current ones, and a lot of this is prematch. All this does it tell the players taking the pitch they're not good enough before they've lifted a finger.



If you flip this and look at Wakey, who had some serious set backs yet seemed to perform better the worse it got. Hull need to get a backs to the wall mentality driven into them (this must come from the coach) and use adversity to drive them on, not to use it as an excuse in waiting.

That's where Kear excels. Agar, OTOH, gives the impression of being a complete wet lettuce in comparison. Hardly the type of person to generate the right mentality, even if you disregard the stories about the lack of respect in which he is held by most of the squad.

Add in the fact he is apparently a bully and spends a lot of his time texting individual fans, it kind of gives you the impression that he is actually even less professional than we imagine, which is a hell of a cause for concern.



As ever, we'll never know the full truth, rumour will abound.

But don't these type of rumours just surround a team performing poorly, look at my team, we looked united all getting on etc, until we had the blip around June/July then all the aussie faction stories emerged, now were doing well again all in the garden is rosy. I'd take most of it with a massive pinch of salt.

I do, until I start to see evidence for myself, which I am starting to, and then I become a bit concerned.
