As reported on Total RL, the club appear to have exercised the break clause in the PL agreement & trying to agree a rolling 1 year one. As one of the posters said, could indicate new investors wanting to keep their options open as the deal with AFC doesn't really serve us well other than somewhere to play. |

Nowhere is ever going to “serve” Broncos as a business unless Broncos have some form of ownership or primary usage agreement in place but as we know, land in London comes at a premium and the club just about has two coins they can rub together at the moment. I actually think it’s really important to stay at Wimbledon. Firstly, it’s a nice venue, it’s a decent size with scope for the club to push to gain a bigger crowd, good space within the ground for the matchday experience and it’s a nice area. The last thing the club needs is to pack its bags and dump them wherever will have them. Rosslyn Park or Ealing would be step backs. |

I wouldn't say it looks like a move, just with a rolling contract, they do at least have some options. I'm sure Orange the Oracle could confirm how long Charlton & Brentford kicked us out for pitch maintenance, but it feels like longer away from PL than the other 2 at probably the best time in the season for attendances. It is an interesting decision though & we do need to reduce the number of grounds we play/train out of for both men & women. |

Wimbledon is a good venue but is yet again one where we are forced out during the summer due to pitch reseeding. Age old problem when ground sharing with a football club (did we play all our home games at the Hive when we shared with Barnet for that season?) The main plus at Ealing was the all weather pitch. Could even play a double header any given weekend.However without a total demolition and rebuilding Rosslyn Park is a complete non starter, surely? |
