Decent squad again. More grounds for hope and optimism.   I'd take a creditable loss but a win doesn't seem ridiculous anymore. 

I have to agree, a win is not beyond us.

I would feel more confident if Brandon & Polselli were available. 

I would love it if we beat this lot but sounds like we have a couple more carrying knocks so will be a big ask.

If we can defend how we did in the second half last week but for 80 minutes……..

Much better than I thought - a really competitive game against a top side. We could have won but didn’t have enough. Truth be told 2Nd half we didn’t really trouble their line. Contained them well for most of the game which considering the size of some of their players was no mean feat. Good to see us get the ball out wide with positive results. Smith did well again. Adebiyi very good. New player Robson did well and Hellec who I suspected may struggle for game time now we have a stronger squad was good under high ball and did well. Binks had a better game as did o bear E although I wish he would put a little more distance on his kicks to touch. This squad looks too 6 to me but obviously too late in the day for anything but the Anti-super 8s where I suspect we’ll do well. Any idea how it works? Does season go on to October? Has anyone told AFC?

Eccles interview talks about quite a few playing through injuries and that was a hard game so even more understandable that we just ran out of legs last 10. Real shame but at end of the day doesn’t really change anything. The key is we are a competitive side that is worth a watch.

I think we were excellent today given our resources. Super effort. Just frustrating we couldn't do it all the way.  I thought they looked faster than anyone else we've seen this season as much and we couldn't keep up with their speed.  Toulouse looked not far off super League for the period when they were scoring.  


Hard to fault any of ours.  The 2 new lads look good and it's a shame we won't be able to keep the loanees.  

All I know is that bottom 4 of Champ play top 4 of L1. 2 games at home & 2 away. Then we'll I seem to recall top 3 play in Champ, teams 4 & 5 play off for 4th Champ place & others in L1. But I may be confusing this play off with a different sport. In any event if they merge Champ & L1,they don't need to play them other than clubs desperate for the money. Another RL hatch potch on the way i fear.
