In a round about way, we did terminate Raynor's contract on the basis that he was unlikely to be around the following season - a decision that turned out to be pretty spot on.

I never said that, but I am thinking about a couple of players who went down for assault and imo should have been sacked as it gives out the wrong message. |

There are a lot of juniors or fringe players who have been sacked, but I must admit I'm struggling with 1st team players in any sport.

Suppose it can all depend on charge and time they'll be away. If they're sacked by their current employers and then signed up by another club upon release it's surely no different to the current club keeping their employment ongoing. |
