Quality player. Watch some of his performances from 2007 with us now and you realise how good he was. Shame he was blighted by injury then.

shame we couldnt have a match fit matty head, cracking larker. same about dykes, shame we never got their full potential...matty head is only 27, didnt realise he was that young ( he'll find it hard to get back into the NRL now though )... even though its football, i was so shocked when dean ashton of west ham had to retire at the age of 26 due to injury.

Agreed about Head and Dykes, Ashton will never be able to even play a game of kick about again, which is a shame for any person at the age of 27, regardless of their sport of choice.

Personally , I thought he was nothing special while he was over here.

but i dare say ashton will get a fair whack off the f.a, still a shame though as i say at his age with so much potential.

at a rumoured £50k a week for the last 3 years, Ashton should be doing okay anyway, but it's rumoured he'll get £3m from the FA, and may take action against SRP/Chelsea too.

Not a fan of litigation in sport, but he may well have denied the guy multi million pound earnings.

to be honest, I don't know, that is just what the media report being the basis for the case.

ahh right... well i guess he'll have the right men behind him money wise, either way he's going to end up with a cracking paid job in football anyhow, wheather it be physio or a coaching role, but nothing can compensate for not playing the sport you love.
