Posted it elsewhere, but a season of great missed opportunity IMO. We've had no real injuries other than Long, Leeds have been rubbish, Cats and Hudds very inconsistent, Saints have had loads of injuries. Chance to press for top 4 missed, leaving us with a scrap for 8th.

I think we are all aware of what the problem has been, we should have been up there with Hudds.

Being that long since I saw a post from the missus that I'm not even sure if that's the correct spelling. Got me thinking now.

I know all teams can have ifs and buts however 2 points against Wakey which was simply a bizarre performance and 2 points away at Wigan which would have been fully deserved would have seen us just one point adrift of Hudds.

True but facts don't lie were still 8th and that isn't good enough

We've lost as many games as we've won and we've been in the bottom half of the table for all but the one week between the Salford win and Leeds defeat in July.

Indeed - it does however illustrate the fine margins involved - maybe even demonstrates a poor quality league if we could have been so close.







I'm not sure what relevance a team's position during the season has as the season only ends after 27 games. As many folk said last year it's pointless talking about being 'almost fourth' when we finished sixth. Same argument applies the other way.
