| Let's face it, this time tomorrow we will be a much different prospect. We will have either been fatally sunk by men and women in suits, who have maybe never been to a rugby terrace in their lives, or we will have taken the first big step on what should be an upward slope.
If people could sum up the last ten years, how would they do it. For me, it would be the phrase, "the skin of our teeth".

| " By the skin of our teeth" ought to be Trinitys motto, when you think of our survival over the last few years.

I like your spirit and I'd love to say Lionheart but I think we are more like Kung Fu Panda (for those parents that know!) Everybody thinks he is nothing. He is big and fat and no idea what to do....but he just keeps getting up and eventually finds a way.
Maybe Cool Hand Luke is a better analogy when Paul Newman fights George Kennedy.

Well at least it would be quick wheras we at Cas will continue to linger in the hope that RW's sticking plaster will cover the gaping wound of our funding gap.

| Indeed Slugger and also may not even be of Wakefield and even Yorkshire origin.
But lets not forget what sort of a sporting body allows such a situation to arise.
Where instead of friendly rivalry there is bitterness and acromony between fans.
A sporting body that will sacrifice tradition and something which is part of peoples lives for ill thought out expansion.
Expansion yes, but based on thorough research as to the regions where a professonal club can best be founded after firstly laying the foundations at school and amateur levels.
Then the club should compete with others on a level playing field and work their way up the ladder, promotion being gained by a combination of criteria, with performance on the field of play always the number 1 .

I agree, but the sacred cow is the only feast in town.
