It's a silly topic as Kear isn't going (with a stupidly misleading title as well), and if he was, on past form, we'd promote from within, or get someone cheap from the Championship.

he's aquiring coaching badges [citation needed and has expressed a wish to coach on a few occasions. I suppose coaches are getting younger all the time and knowledge of what is going on in the park now and what went on 25 years ago is also a benefit?

frankly any coach with some background. john kear is the only recognised top level coach we have had in ages. promoting players into the head coach roll does not work but would probably be the sort of rubbish idea the wakey board would go for.

what a load of rubbish some people come out with. jk is the best thing to happen to wakey in years and most people with half a brain would know that. its a good job that no one takes notice of the sack the coach brigade. the rl guru's who couldn't coach an amateur side that take every chance to snipe at a coach that is doing his pre season training in mid season. the same ones that were on here last week saying how was we beat by a lowly harlequins side by one score which this week beat the best team in sl. got beat again this week by one score. nothing wrong with the effort but the backs quite obviously aren't firing and nor would you expect them to be after what has taken place but i am sure a little bit more time and the players stick together and we will get back on the horse . then the sack the coach crew can stop wetting themselves and start bagging the players again.

it wasn't that long ago since you were struggling to raise money,so i can't see the board paying off kear,unless his contract runs out at the end of the season??it's not as if he's been given that much money for his squad is it?injuries kicking in wont help either,plus brough leaving wont have helped him neither!!

Yes agree JK is one of only coaches we have had for a long time. Its just a case of back to the drawing board and a few quality players in. Having watched Melbourne this morning we could start with Cameron Smith & Billy Slater ( after they have helped the Maroons beat NSW of course) also they could bring Cooper Cronk with them. That would ease their salary cap problems.

maybe so but i am sure that there are some on here that would still be screaming sack the coach for signing them and ted for paying them.

Get real - we are suffering a loss of form and confidence - and our answer is to sack the coach, the board and anyone who mutters anything positive about the club. How does any of this help restore confidence to anyone who reads this board???



The answers to most of our problems are closer than we think - we just need to work it out!
