Hickey probably knows his own fitness issues more than anyone else, but if you are selected you are going to play. The issue here is why is Kear selecting players who are not ready to play SL level when there are others in the squad who are.

I agree. Hickey can't turn round to the coaching staff and say don't pick me, it is up to the coaching staff to realise that he is currently not in good enough condition to play Super League.

Talking to a Wakey fan after yesterday's game and he seemed to suggest that Hickey is earning a salary of 70k and is one of your top three earners!

Wouldn't listened to hear say, but he did turn down a contract to play with South Sydney to join Trinity, so he's probably on enough to make it worth his while.

if thats true then its a disgrace the guy is in awfull shape and going by what ive seen and listend to hes plays so very few minutes and goes hiding in games. at leaste the likes od solomona and feka give you something special and some good impact but this guy is rubbish

Solo was a bit disinterested too by the end of his stint with Wakey. I remember him throwing the ball at BJ's head once. I think he threw the ball into the crowd a few times too in an ill-fated Salford away game.



The portly Darren Fritz, JT and some obscure Samoan always gave 110% at Trin! Lima, O'Brien and Hickey not so much.

Have you ever been to a game, Fritz wasn't portly - if anything tall and rangy - I'm begining to think you are a Hudds wind up.
