Hows having confidence in your side arrogant ?



Just because your concerned about what other fans think of you dont try and stop others backing there side with full confidence.



We've had hull kr thinking there the next big thing.

its been the year of the wolf for 20 years.

FC fans were almost buying there GF tickets this time last season..



i'm not seen a wigan side play like this for years..i'm confident we can win any team we face at this moment..thats not arrogant its confidences.

Maybe I'm just so used to us losing in stupid games and the new regime has changed all that but I think we deffo need to look at our wins in context before we start proclaiming ourselves as World beaters. Don't get me wrong I'm immensely positive about the new season and I hope the above posters and others are right but after years of wild predictions from Leeds and Saints fans in the 90's and Wire fans more recently I don't want our fans to get reputations along the lines they have.

We won our first five games last year by grinding them out, we never played all that well. I can't speak for every Hull fan but even after winning 5 on the bounce I wasn't all that confident.



Wigan this year look way better than we did this time last year, as do this years Hull team. Should be a cracker a week on Friday. If we both get the job done against Cas and Bradford it will a top of the table clash.

certainly one i am looking forward to. I think it will be a very close game. If a certain mr long plays it will add to the spice of the game. I predict game of the season so far

In all seriousness I think we can have the best of both arguments on this thread. The OP is right in everything he says and I agree. However, as this is the best start since 2001 and the Rugby on offer is entertaining, I'm going to enjoy it. In fact, I'm loving it.

1/2 is a achievable

3/4 is guaranteed

Over the last say 10 years of nearly getting relegated, losing some of our star players suddenly e.g. Barrett, Farrell, Radlinsk, Newton, Carney as well as young players in Briscoe Wild, Hock, getting beat 70 - 0 then 75 - 0 off Saints which is shoved in our face at every opportunity, 5 years of inconsistant seasons, 5 years of under achievement.



To all you opposition fans, you can all get bent! let us have our moment!



If we think we will tonk Bradford on Friday lets just say we are going to tonk them! It's called confidence!



Opposition fans can't stand to see the mighty Wigan do well and thats why after a good start to the season we are all up beat and genuinely exited about the prospects we have in the coaching staff and playing staff they are telling us to not get ahead of ourselves, calm down, you have had easy games, wait for your injuries to kick in etc etc troll troll.



Let's just enjoy being good again (as we don't know how long it will last, let's ride the wave) and if it offends or inconveniences any other fan of another team then tough titties! Get used to it!

We are playing better than what we have done for years and its not Wigans fault that the rest of Superleague are talking about Wigan as being the team to beat.
