How long can you put up with him when you have a player like Riley sat filling in the holes whenever someone is injured? Riley is a better player in every sense. He tackles better, his positioning his better, his attacking is better. Mathers contributed absolutely nothing to Warrington tonight. Why not throw him on the wing and let Riley control the more important fullback slot? Mathers cost you the game tonight.

I've never had Riley down as being anything other than solid. I don't remember ever seeing him make a mistake and his try at Bradford last season is something very few players could do. Has he ever had a prolonged spell at fullback?

He drops one ball in the match and suddenly people are on his case. Give him a chance without getting on his back constanly like Wigan did. Hes not gonna play well if everybody bashes his confidence down.

He makes mistakes far too frequently to be relied upon. Warrington have moved on a level from having to carry fools like him. When a young player drops balls and lacks confidence under the high ball it rarely improves. Mathers isn't a young players anymore and he's still doing it. His enthusiasm is boundless, but he is the one very weak link in your side.

Dropping a high ball is always going to happen to every player on occasions, I've seen Billy Slater drop a bomb and I've seen Lockyer and Inglis do likewise.
