I must admit I could have quite cheerfully have given a good kicking to quite a few of our 'supporters' last night. Some of them were so beered up and foul mouthed I am surprised they even bother coming out of the pub to watch the game.



Not as bad as some of the Wigan weenies are making out though, as they are more of an embarrassment than any real 'threat'.

This is by no means a new thing. A Wigan away game a few season ago I had some drunken 14-year-olds behind me who had actually managed to sneak in a bottle of Aftershock and were passing it between them. I don't think any of them were there for the game, just there to shout abuse, mess around and generally cause a disturbance and ruin it for everyone else. We, like every team, have these idiots. Unfortunately it just becomes exacerbated when a team starts to become successful.

You think stopping the Conga was the worst of the stewards, think again.



At Rochdale one year the last game of the season was against Whitehaven who wern't in the play-offs and decided to have a fancy dress theme. The cowboy had his toy guns taken off him and the two 118118 guys were told to sit down when they ran up and down the front of the seats at half time shouting "Got your number."

Well let me tell you, I was walking back to the car with Odemwingie last night and when we were passing a group of Warrington fans one of them who was clearly drunk came right up to him and started mouthing off in his face for absolutely no reason other than he was trying to cause bother. Odemwingie would have been justified in smacking the little scroat but did the sensible thing and just ignored him. That is why he felt the need to describe the guy as scum. That is not the sort of behaviour we expect at rugby matches.



We attended the semi last week and I have so say that all the Warrington fans we passed were well behaved and were just enjoying the occasion. Unfortunately there is a small element who occasionally just go too far. This needs to be stamped out from whichever club it is from, Wigan included.
