| Quote PONNER="PONNER" 3 or 4 yards over the line???? He was on the line at best but with the tackle still moving it was play on as long as there was no pulling, only pushing.'"
I'll be honest I thought he was back in the field of play rather further than the line, but as you say the tackle as seen by the official was still moving and I agree there wasn't any pulling, but what ever happened to the ruling that when other players join in from the defending side the tackle is called?

Yeah couldn't agree more, once we were beat you didn't need to continue with this tactic

Another one taking the win with grace. If in your wildest dreams no other ref would have called held after the fifth giants player and third wire player got involved and hodgson was as rigid as flag pole. Then you've got issues.
Why can't giants fans see that every single wire fan is saying the best team won.
Some of the bull poop is on pie eater level I'm afraid

Well it's not like you can say anything else is it? It's the reasons that i'm finding amusing
Last week's loss was the drummers fault according to someone on here.

| We were disorganised without Briers.
Hudds won the battle upfront in my view. (Something that I think TS was worried about before the match given the men on the bench were all forwards)
Ref had a reasonable game.
The best side won.
Fairly boring to watch on TV because of the amount of lying on and slow ptb.

| I am possibley Silverwoods biggest critic. Although his record when refereeing us has improved slightly just lately I still think our win/loss ratio under Silverwood is so different to that with other referees to warrant some form of investigation. However, even I cannot find too many faults in his performance last night. I do query him allowing Hodgson to be pushed back over the line, and I can't see how on earth he managed to miss Evans being tackled in the air. But on the other side I think we were very lucky not to see at least one, if not two Wire players take a ten minute break.
If you cough up so much ball as we did last week and last night, then at this level you are going to lose regardless of the opposition and regardless of the referee.

| Nothing wrong with Moz's tackle - good fair hard straight-on hit - the winger seems to run at 45 degrees which means that any head on tackle will appear high.
I think the Hudds method of tackling / clamping / hand on ball is borderline cheating but they get away with it, so I must be mis-informed.
Silverwood missed a few decisions either way, but didn't drop one ball when pushing for the line in decent field position (Harrison), didn't go head hunting when he lost possession (Solomona), didn't have a poor kicking game (anyone with ball on last tackle), didn't make constant poor decisions on last tackle (all).
