| Fair play to the bods at the RFL, everybody was saying how stupid it was to play the game at Widnes due to its limited capacity.
Looks like it was a great call and with 3 weeks to go i guess it may just sell out or just be short by a few tickets, probably less than 100.
I would say that was a perfect situation, much rather be in a full or as close as could be full stadium rather than Huddersfield or Bolton which would literally be half empty.

| I like it how we have half the stadium each, rather than 2 stands each

| Looks like '77 et al were correct. A masterstroke by the RFL in choosing this venue to match the predicted demand.
What has happened to Rugby League. The corresponding fixture in 1989 between Wire and Wiga at Maine Road (Lydons drop goal) had a much larger attendance yet average crowds then were much lower. Is this Sky's fault by diminishing the CC competition?

The Grand Final is equally coveted, if not moreso. Hence the diminishing appeal of the Cup.

Did you have to remind us about that! Why not just leave it at Maine Road

Rubbish.....Personally I couldn't give a hoot about a grand final apperance so long as we keep making a CC final.

No it wasn't.

If it wasnt reserves seating i could have easily brought 4/5 more people, wolfette the same. That's two people, imagine the possibility if each person brought one more person with them who isn't a regular attendee . We would sell plenty. No chance of walk in tickets, especially from neutrals or those who cant get to the club shops.
That said, the fact Wigan are selling so little is very surprising. However the sport is in no fit state to be turning people and money away. Perhaps also the fact that the semi final and final are so close people are waiting to spend their money on a big lump sum of tickets, accommodation, foam gloves and the most important thing, lots of alcohol.
