The 20's have now been informed there is no money in the pot to sign them , there is some great talent in that team it is the team of the future, this was Salford's future its a disgrace !!!





No wonder Lee Spence as resigned as 20's coach he as done a fantastic job with these lads as well.

While I agree if true this isn't good news.



What I do worry about is your motives, strikes me potentially your someone with inside knowledge who is hiding behind an on line persona or your another who is coming on here to further upset the apple cart.

Ford/Fages/Owen/Sneyd are already signed up. Although would like to see another 5 or 6 offered a deal. Some real quality in this years team.

Those are at the younger end aren't they?



The problem is that next year there will be no U20's. It will be U19's, so the older players who would have graduated to next years U20's have no place to go if they are not in the first team.



A whole tier is being removed from the game, which in my mind is a ridiculous idea from the RFL.

they should bring back B teams regardless of age! or do the rfl want players that are not playing every week dual-registered??

Quite a few of the chairmen voiced concerns about the running costs of Academy teams. However, I reckon the alternative — linking up with Championship clubs (effectively making them feeder clubs/'A' teams) — is a non-starter.

I think there is going to be an u19s and an u23s, this is where the current 20s will graduate too

According to last week's [iRugby Leaguer & League Express[/i, there's only going to be an u19s and an u16s (with two scholarship levels merging).

Think this would be the last year at 20s for Sneyd and Owen anyway. Fages and Ford will both still qualify for next years new under 19s comp.
