Ryan Boyle released at Castleford. There was talk of him on his way here.



What are your thoughts?

I hope we sign him, surpose to be good, youthful we can mold him into a class player and follow the likes of rachford and myler into the england squad and eventually team.

Showed much promise with us early on, but seemed to have a very poor year in 2009 and in my opinion looked poor.

Hardly the model professional either, recently convicted of drink driving after a night out.

However, given the right handling he could become a good prop.

That just answered my next question (Why are Cas letting him go?).

We already signed him.

Would be disapointed if we have signed him as another poster has just suggested, I wasnt happy about Wilshere staying after he was caught but to actually sign someone after he has just be convicted is very in my eyes very unbecomeing of a family club.

If I were a sponsor I would have to think about the image the club is fostering when they keep a player on the books with a DD and then potentially recruit one.

So if hes banned who is bringing him over to train? Ryan Clayton?

Perhaps the image we are fostering in this case is that we are a club who is more interested in having a decent playing squad than being a club obsessed with some none existing family club image?

I think any family-club image that we may have had may have taken somewhat of a pounding after a certain pre-season trip earlier this year...but some people on here don't want anyone to talk about that any more so I won't mention it.
