How come Alker can do wrong with some Salford fans.
I also agree with Fungus in that 1 game against poor opposition is not a sign that everything is rosy it has just masked over the problems that you still have.
Also real fans are allowed to voice their opinions - positive as well as negative

Woah, there pal, what do you mean sounding like City? there is no negativity at City at the moment only happines. Bearing in mind that we havent won anything in 35 YEARS ( i will say it before Pev mentions it
) and with the sucess of our neighbours form the Trafford area, then i belive whe had a right to be a little pi**ed off dont you? i for one Dont take watching sport too seriously as the Players of ANY club do not give a toss about the supporters. i for one Will support my CLUB through good and Bad times ( believe me mostly bad watching both clubs) players will Come and go but my heart will always be at City and SALFORD.

Pat on the back for Alker/remaining coaching staff/players for the win - though as people have said it is merely papering over cracks that will not go away unless serious actions are taken, there has been too much turd polishing going on at Salford for so long that this is the time to get the right people in who will take the team/club forward as we move into the new stadium and into a new era for the club.
You can't just go from getting 30 odd point batterings (should have been 50 odd vs Saints) to getting a 26 point away win unless the opposition is alot poorer (which it was with all due respect to Wakey and their situation) and/or there was something alot more dramatic than a Malc Alker teamtalk going on behind the scenes.
The news on stadium/sponsors etc is great news and long may Salford continue on their way to getting commerical revenues up and ultimately getting the bread to buy the top players and attract the top young players, though there are changes on the coaching/commerical side that need to happen

Whether Malc's directly responsible or not, it was just a mighty relief to achieve a win on Sunday. I went across without much hope at all and came away really pleased. I don't think the tide has completely turned, far from it, but at least we've made some progress.
As others have pointed out, we still have a lot to be thankful for! Expecting another tonking from Wigan on Friday, but won't mind as long I see some passion and entertainment from us.
