salford have today turned down a bid of £ 250,000 off st helens to sign richie myler ,at this time i cannot disclose my mole but what i will say is that he is in the know , and works at the willows

Don't think he will sign the contract on offer. Therefore he is telling us to sell him. £250000 is the first offer play saints off against wires and eventually let him go to the highest bidder! As long as it is not Warrington.

Salford may be running on a sub £1m cap next year if rumours are true, they will take the best offer for Myler but will Myler play ball or secure a far better deal once out of contract??

Today's [iLeague Express [/iis carrying an interview with Martin Offiah in which he claims that Richie Myler has turned down Salford's contract offer.



It does seem ridiculous to me that half way through a three year contract we should have to suffer all this nonsense and uncertainty. Richie Myler still has seventeen or eighteen months left on his contract I think. I do think Mr Offiah is trying to build up his reputation as an agent; if Richie had an agent who didn't court publicity as much or wasn't trying to build up his reputation as an agent perhaps things might have been conducted away from the Sports' Pages and TV programmes.

You could argue that without Offiah, Salford would receive much less for Myler.
