Having bravely fought off relegation this year, are tolouse now in a strong position to put in a license bid for 2012?



I think their participation would be a fantastic move for the game, much more than any heartland club IMO

It would be great for the game in France, I would put them and Widnes in for Celtic and Salford.

Considering they couldn't get relegated this season anyway, it's a mute point. Don't think they have the necessary qualities needed for SL yet however. Would be another Celtic exercise. They need at least another 3/4 years in NL.

I think Toulouse are a great shout in the long term, but the shambles that is Celtic Crusaders should be looked at before lumping them in to SL.



Toulouse have been in the Championship for one year. They can't go from finishing in the bottom two of the second tier to be expected to compete in SL in another two.



They should be given time, resources and support to make the product in the city grow. They most certainly shouldn't be rushed, as CC were.



2015 looks a more realistic target for Toulouse in my opinion, while Widnes and Barrow could probably sustain SL franchises in 2012.

Check the books next year fool, a huge amount of money was owed/spent, steve o'connor released it for a reason.
