This thread may be better placed after Leeds travel to Celtic this weekend, but the Crusaders have officially announced their move to Newport for next season.



The ground looks quite modest on Google Images, though it looks as though it has character with a full house. Obviously much better than Brewery Field.



Anyone been there and have an opinion on it? Is it adequate?

Sorry, but just looks like a dump to me. Looks like a lot of the old fashioned stadia that everyone is saying is no good and trying to get rid of.

Presumably they have moved there in anticipation of the redevelopment? Lets hope it is quicker than some others!

My impression also. They've gone from one old run down stadium to a slightly better one IMO. Like going from Belle Vue to the Jungle.



When is the stadium rebuild at Newport meant to be finished? I read reports that it was meant to be done mid 2010, but I'd have thought it would have started by now if that were the case?

There's a surprise Wellsy and Viking 4 ever don't approve.
