Can't believe that question is even being asked. Richards kicking has been really poor this season from his previous standards. Down from about 83% to 68%. Definetly cost us a top 4 finish. Would still back him in pressure situations though. That comeback at Bradford in 07 was nothing without him kicking them all off the touchline.



His attacking strike rate can't be faulted though. 20 in 25 this season now.

Anyway much as I love our Paaaaat, Botica's kicking was a joy to behold, I don't think I had to close my eyes once

Same with Neil Cowie..

Mal Meninga 'punted' the ball American football style straight on, Botica led the move to a normal 'round the corner' kick.........

Richards shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as Botica.



El Masri is the only player to hold a torch to Botica, Darryl Halligan was a superb kicker as well.

I know he did'nt but if somebody is going to throw El Mazri into the conversation then the world record holder for the most consecutive conversions by a professional rugby player has to be added as well.

Mark Hewitt was the best kicker I've ever seen, and I've seen all of the above. But because he wasn't a glamour player who won trophies he'll never get the recognition he deserves for his kicking, he was superb.

El Mazri. As for best drop-outs in SL, he may not be of any use for anything else, but Paul Sykes never usually fails to get it out of his own half and usually well into theirs.

Botica for me also frano used to kick off sand where now they use cones/tees would be intresting to see pat kick a couple of goals from sand in training/match.

I remember hearing somewhere that he would train by taking kicks from all over the field, and until he kicked 30 IN A ROW he wouldn't go home. Imagine getting to 29 and missing a sitter.



Richards has been legendary for us and won us many games, but he's been off the mark this year and probably cost us a higher finish. He's still Superman though.
