The Lancashire League really needs fewer Yorkshire teams holding it back. Maybe two Eastern and Western Conferences might be a fairer way of doing things, to keep things competitive.

While I think the idea has merit, we [ido[/i need to develop the game in Yorkshire; I think maybe one or two Yorkshire teams playing regularly against the Lancashire teams is needed to expose their players to a higher level of competition and professionalism etc.



It's worked for the Catalans, given time it might work for Yorkshire. We have to at least [itry[/i.

A West Yorkshire XIII? But where would they play out of? We need modern stadiums in the game these days. Are there any in West Yorkshire?

Well, yes, at this stage of their development the facilities in west Yorkshire are pretty rudimentary, but there's a good chance that in time they might be able to put something reasonable together.



In the meantime, I'm sure the Lancashire teams and fans would be willing to stoically endure the discomfort for the development of the game.

Good work, now if only you can get some fans and some players and some money and some facilities actually owned by the clubs then Lancashire will be able to make a meaningful contribution to SL.
