I can only drink Bitter so it was a expensive day/night out around Headingley

I always make sure I bring an arm and a leg when spending out in Headingley. Check out this rip off I was thankfully not paying for -







In future just take some tinnys with you and find somewhere public to sit. If your frugal like me you better start brewing your own homemade beer to take out to matches

It was £2.75 for guiness, £2.70 for strongbow in the taps too. I guess if people are prepared to pay over the odds for something they will continue to charge that until such time people wont pay those prices.

Quality Damo, shame we didn't bump into each other last night, would have been good to have a chat.

What I don't get also about the BOX is that normal Magners were £3.25 a bottle but the new Pear flavour Magners were a snip at £2.25 but who likes Pear Cider ???

It’s a blatant rip off mate. The only reasons to go into Headingley are on a match day and because your been dragged they by a fan of hollyoaks. I remember when a few of us got dragged into the arc for a someone’s birthday. We couldn’t stay long I’ll give you that one.

I was on £1.85 a pint of bitter in the Skyrack mate which was ok, but the beer was crap.



Thiery Alibert was in the BOX early doors drinking, he is a top bloke to speak to.

Still I wouldn’t pay that much for one bottle of cider when you can get it way cheaper. I’ll either binge drink or social drink. Me and my cousin must of spent £160 (with him footing most of the bill) last time we went. I do think its about time us beer lovers set up an association to drive down prices in these establishments as it is nothing but plain snobbery IMO.

I don't mind paying good money for a good pint, but I asked for a pint of bitter, and to get a pint of Buxton and then to be charged £2.75 is not on.

We had a pint in the taps then wandered round to the Rack to watch the U21's game (they were winning 3-0 before we started watching it

) and to be fair the cider was better than its been for a long while (i remain convinced that a shipment of strongbow was contaminated with bleach / barrel wash as the last few ive had from the rack have been rank) as it was only £2.15 a pint and was very refreshing
