| Quote Mrs Barista="Mrs Barista"It's a bit Catch 22 though.
Club wants to be seen to engage with fans, or genuinely wants their input. Steering Group Fans suggest stuff, which invariably costs money. Function nights that cost to put on with no material return. Paths resurfaced. More things in the shop. Soap and paper towels in the bogs. Club is skint so makes notes but can't divert resources from paying existing bills. Fans report back to other fans what they've suggested. Club doesn't publish anything as there aren't resources to deliver. Wider fanbase criticises Steering Group members for being an ineffective clique. Repeat.
Maybe the group needs a different mandate. At FC, FC Voices have a role in liaising with the club on match day experience - beer in stands, that sort of thing. I think they're a sort of unofficial sounding board for suggestions. They also organise stuff like the Heritage Weekend and Fans Forums.'"
No catch 22 at all. One of my gripes is disabled parking for my father. We have to park 100 yds away from the turnstiles, when we can park near the entrance, but because its reserved for coaches, we cant park there. Even when Les Catalans or London are in town and the area is empty. Laughable really. Things like that dont cost money. Just liason between steering group meetings to directors to parking attendands. Thats just one example.

If anyone would rather pay a couple of quid extra to watch a second tier football team then thats up to them. I would rather watch a dog chew on my nether regions than watch 90 minutes that rubbish.

Well said. It appears some people have no principles.

| It's a double bluff pending announcing the takeover and the 2 massive signings. Stands to reason. If rovers were really skint would they delay selling passes?
Answers on a postcard to:
allams taking over rovers
c/o new south stand and hotel
Next to east stand extension
with a new main stand to follow

| So what is all the rush about, why are you all in a rush to throw money at the Club in September when you still have five months to wait for the new season to start. Would you prefer that the Club just carried on without sensible and prudent management and end up like Bradford did the forward is season. Most responsible Companies have a period of reflection at the end of a year, which is why AGM's are called. Rovers are having a review of the season just ended and planning for the season still to come. Once that process has been completed the Board of Directors will move forward in the best interests of the club. Patience is the key word for the supporters to bear in mind, now and for the next couple of seasons. You may not agree with my views, but this is the real world and not viewed through red and white tinted glasses.

| The longer you (Rovers) leave it, the longer it gives people to spend their money on something else and forget about rugby.
City took an age to announce their Season Cards and have paid the price. Like Rovers, they had a disappointing season and it ended in a right mess with Barmby/Allam fiasco.
Rovers maybe waiting for news on the North Stand front, but the quotes which have come from Rovers/NH since the close of the season, will hardly have done much good for moral among the 'floating/doubting/picking games' section of our support. In fact, the 'what has' and the 'what hasn't' come out from Rovers, has been geared @ losing support rather than gaining (or even keeping) support.
Here's hoping we have some sort of ace up our sleeves.

Clearly, you don't understand that cash is the lifeblood of RL clubs. Do you think that once the last ball has been kicked into touch that all the staff at Rovers just go into hibernation or work for free until round one of Super League?
I'm sure there's a business reason why Rovers aren't coming out with any good news or initiatives.
