A mildly entertaining day at Batley..............we never capitulated.........although we were vulnerable down our right defensive side a tad too much.

I quite like Batley's ground.................. a proper old-fashioned ground with value for money food and cheaper drinks prices than the Keepmoat.

Number 6 presume Handforth showed some nice touches and with a few more running onto his 'flat' passes in future could be a decent prospect.Came into the game more as he settled in.

Sanchez also looks a decent player.

Difficult for them being pitched in at this level and never easy playing in a beaten side but Griffiths plays his heart out, Kesik looks one for the future and Matt Handforth, Carlos Sanchez and Danny Stanley all showed promise. Chris McNamara gets exposed somewhat by his lack of size defensively but has an eye for the tryline (2 tries yesterday).



It was an improved performance yesterday from the previous three league games and some of these will do a decent job in Championship One next season if still around.
