what a load of tosh the email I got back from FC re MIGHTY MOA. apparently they have offered him a contract which is within the wage structure of the club and CANNOT and WILLNOT offer any more. Otherwise we cannot accomodate LONG, FITZ, OMELEY.

Yet we can accomodate an injured YAK during the season and offer him an extension while he was injured and has not played since!!! beggars beleif

After watching the s vs pies last night just look at the influence PAALENSINA had when he came on MIGHTY MOA could do that for us with a great pre-season. We should reward potential and effort not last swan songs and past glory.

Personaly I think where gunna lose MOA for messing about and obviously agents want more for their players either financially or LENGTH im sure MOA would stay if the LENGTH was increased (Yak will be gone after this season and we will be left wanting again) FC have had to think what his worth is and who is gunna do his battering ram role when he goes?? Omeley till injury occurs then..... I think they have got MOAs contract offer wrong!

He`ll sign . Probably not for us though !

I have just made a call and found out that Sam has definately NOT signed as of yet. The offer we have made him is firmly on the table, the club want him to stay but as he (or his agent) fancy their chances in atleast doubling his wages Fc are not prepared to pay him as much as this.

He has walked away with his offer to go on holiday last week some time and still has not returned with answer. FC also do not know who is offering him deals and if Rovers are included. He is free to talk to clubs and FC do not need to be involved in these chats.

So in a nut shell this is not a done deal and we will have to wait and see !

Hes staying cos agar believes its the right decission,guess the salary hes on the club feels its good to keep him for another year also by the one year deal for moa,looks like hes keeping is options open for the quota for 2011 and thats why hes not banding big contracts out,who knows what the club has got planned regarding signings for the future for all we know a big signing on a 3 or 4 year deal maybe on the horizon.

So do you "know" for definite that he has signed ??

The club have offered Sam a bleedin good deal considering he only played in something like 13 games last season. He still needs a lot of work on handling as he does tend to knock on a bit and he aint got no serious engine inside that bulk.

Knowing the club have offered him a decent deal IMO if he stays, great, If he goes its not the clubs fault !

If you bend to these kind of players wage demands it can start huge disruptive waves amongst other players with the "well if Sams worth that then I want............".

Can someone explain nvq wage structure? How can we go for grothe and burt but not offer moa a decent wage? A big name player on a 3 or 4 year deal? Theres no british players available.
