Excuse me if this is a daft question but if you upgrade to a Sky HD box do you lose everything on your Sky+ planner?



Seriouly considering getting HD before Christmas

The planner is held on the hard drive in your Sky+ box, so I assume that if you swap boxes you lose the planner and any recorded programmes.

Yes, I never knew, missed a few things now

If you have a VCR or DVD recorder you can save most things off the planner by transferring them I think. As long as it's not stuff 'rented' via Box Office or similar.

We recorded the things we wanted onto dvd before we upgraded so we didnt lose them. We also went through the sky planner and made a note of all programmes we were taping to that we could then set them on the new HD box. Forward planning and all that!!
