He took the more difficult, low-percentage, and less beneficial option, for seemingly no other reason than it might have brought him some glory.
I'm a fan of Yeaman, and have defended him many times in the past when he's been criticised for not passing, but tonight's example was inexcusable IMO.'"
Lynn was being shadowed by 1 player and Berrigan was coverd as well...Yeaman actually looked for Lynn but saw he was coverd and Tried to make something of 2 players being coverd.
As for glory for himself....yeah right,he isnt a team player is he.

I think he was looking for Lyne outside him and did not see Berro until late, Berro was never quite up with the play from what I saw and arrived late at which point Yeaman thought it best to hang on.

I'd have to see it again but if Yeamo didn't think Berrigan would make it to the line then the dummy isn't too bad a play. The player that actually tackled Yeamo was not in his line of sight as he actually came from behind him to tackle him so he could be forgiven for thinking he had a walk in if the FB takes the dummy.

Agree totally but I did say to leave his conduct tonight aside..care to mount a case that Noble is an inferior coach to Agar?

Didn't think Berrigan was covered myself. Only question mark for him was whether or not he'd have been quick enough to make the line. Yeaman never looked like scoring though.

Agree that was the only issue with it. I just still think that when faced with an opposing player and with a teammate in support, you should have faith in your ally and put him in for a clear run at the sticks.

Not sure what that had to do with what we were talking about? We could get to the GF
and you still complain about Agar, it's the agenda you have, which you are entitled to.'"
Ok, would you be willing to wager £20 to charity that we'll win at least one game should we meet Leeds, Saints, Warrington or Wigan in the playoffs?

Why?
I have not said we will have I? I don't think we will go to Wigan and win if we finish 4th and aftre that it will depend of injuries etc. Last year we were 3rd from bottom, Agar has put together a side that is challenging for the top four despite not having our halfbacks fit and playing together for most of the season. Is there room for improvement in Agar and our style of rugby? Yes, but he has done a good job this season and has earnt his new contract even if it did get awarded to him too early.

I'd agree that the vast majority of times I would favour the pass in that situation.

Maybe the conditions made him think twice about the pass?

You just said we could get to the grand final, I'm not even asking you to back that up, simply to say we can beat a decent side while trying, have a bit of conviction in your assertions man! Will you take the bet if I throw Hudds in aswell?
