With regards Richard Horne, i'm not sure how widely this is known but i found out through Martin Dunn yesterday that he had a pretty upsetting visit to his surgeon last week. Basically his off-season op has not been a success and more surgery is needed. However, the club have asked him to play through it and in typical Horney style he put his hand up to play. When judging his displays i think this needs to be taken into account.

People are quick to criticise horne and we haven't seen the best of him for the last 3 years, however he is Hull FC through and through and has played with injuries which would see other players sat in the stands. We also look a better side with horne in and no long than we do the other way around

All spot on, but it doesn't mean he should be kept on beyond this year. Especially if he needs another operation in the off-season.

"Manu was dangerous off the bench." When was this? I thought he was distinctly average yesterday. Also, why name a sub on the bench who never gets close to coming on - absolute lunacy. You might as well just name 16 players and be done with it. The bench and how you use it is massively important nowadays and we had one player who didn't get on and one who played for 12 minutes. Name me another team that does that? Shocking.

The thing is he needs the op now but but has answered the clubs pleas to play despite knowing full well he is probably hindering his own claims for a new contract.

I think Agars comments "Take him effing off." against Leeds gives that away.

To say nothing of his long term health.

Spot on Jake. I can't help but feel that this selfless attitude may well have prevented us seeing the very best of him over the years though, and quite probably contributed to his recent run of long term injuries.
