Even thou Casey was a first class prat i really despised Peter Walsh.

I think Len Casey's problem was that he was chosen by the chairman, nobody else on the board wanted him as coach, and as such go no support wharsover from the board IIRC. Casey was also a proud 100% hard as nails player who expected the same from his players, and would say he didn't know how to Man manage when the players didn't do the same. Peter walsh just tossed it off the whole time he was here. He certainly talked the talk, sadly he couldn't run a millimeter when it came to coaching. It's Phil Sigsworth I feel sorry for in the Peter Walsh farce.

Got to go with the majority here and say Casey followed by Walsh.



Under Casey i used to hope the team we were playing would play some nice rugby just so we were reminded of what it was like, or hope our away game got postponed at the last minute so we could nip to the nearest game being played

I was going to say, the one I went to Wembley on in 1985. A total deathtrap. It was powered by prayers alone.



As for Hull, Tony 'The Tank' Gordon was pretty dire, he tried to change our style of play with disastrous results.

Agree with that, although feel that Agar had more at his disposal than Walsh but in all fairness they are pretty much on a par as to which is the better at getting nothing out of a group of players.

They used to have "Jesus is Alive" on the back of their coaches, which was pretty apt because it required divine intervention in order for any of their clapped out vehicles to complete even a short trip to Leeds.
