With eight of the first twelve games at home he's being given a very good opportunity, so if he is a half decent coach we'll know then.

Wasn't impressed with his appointment and wasn't impressed with preseason but im liking some of the noises that are coming from the camp and the seeming willingness to address some of the feck ups Gentle and McRae made. If he gets us into the eight and performances are evenly level throughout the campaign with no drubbings then it will be an improvement on previous years

biggest concern is the fact radders admitted himself the job has probaly come to early for him but he took it as he knew it might not come round again.if your already doubting your own ability the players may sense that.2nd biggest worry for me is a unproven assistant alongside him.to have someone who's been there and experienced what he's going through,whether its a arm round the shoulder or a warning that certain methods can cause unrest in the camp,that knowledge is priceless.theres definatley a place for lasty on the coaching team and even number 2 would be fine alongside a proven head coach.someone like willie poaching who's played and been on the coaching staff at successful clubs would of made me feel a little less nervous that tihis year could go really bad really quick.i'm not saying radders will fail and he gets my full backing but for me its easy to see why he could really struggle

If you are taking that stance then you are going to be very busy pointing that out to everyone.

You make a point about radford coming out of retirement on a thread about radford as a coach. Strange how I presume you think this has some relation to his coaching ability.

It is a big game the derby tbf, so out of the friendlies it was the one we wanted to win most, plus hes had stick from KR fans as a player so hes going to want to beat our small neighbours.

Mark my words, Radders is most definitely the man....

fair point, peter sharp certainly did. but then you get the other side of the coin where folk say he was lucky, he inherited a good team.
