Im not overly optimistic, I can just see that this is one area we are doing a lot better in. All the major areas of need have been adressed, the well known trouble makers are on there way out and our best youngsters are being tied down to long contracts, these are facts nobody can deny.

Fwiw I dont believe agar signed all the players or resigned current ones, I do believe rule and hetherington have learnt their lesson over length's of contracts given to australian players.

We could hardly have done any worse to be fair. We're pinning our hopes on ageing players by and large which is a high risk strategy. It may come off or it may fall flat and we'll be back to where we've been most of the last 3 seasons. They're also short term fixes so let's hope they're also planning for the longer term

That I agree with you on, there is plenty evidence to suggest both, but at least they are adressing the right areas!



Briscoe and washy are our 2 best players and are signed to long contracts, plus the kid from the acadamy being given a contract. Also our u18s have a few very promising players.

Any fool can see where we're deficient and throw some money at someone to top up their retirement fund. Doesn't make it a good decision. Personally, I think the signing of long may turn out a poor decision based on his high likelihood of injury.







All well and good but none of them are the top quality half backs the club needs to start prodcuing although long may have a positive impact in this area.
