Good stats Hutchie. How many did Tickle miss though? Was it 66% of his attempts?

Not read the rest of the thread but a defeat (mathematically) down to goal kicks has been coming with DJ's recent kicking record. His success rate from the right hand side of the posts must be pretty abysmal this season. Time for a change - he's valuable to us in many ways but there are others who can kick goals - Westy or Crooks when Ticks isn't there.

Crooks in his last season in 20s dropped right off goal kicking wise. Think miller when tickle not about best bet. Prob just needs a bit longer getting adjusted to the new ball

The one in the first half was a terrible miss. The other three were from out wide and were difficult, however a decent goal kicker will hit 2 out of 3 of those most weeks.



No excuse for a poor performance, but a game we could have gotten away with if he'd kicked them.

There was only the Heremaia one that was a bad miss, though its hitting the unexpected ones that win games rather than lose them.



We've been spoilt with Tickle and Foster not missing goals over the past few years, it's a problem that could do with being sorted for next year.

holdsworth kicked all from touch line against broncos earlier in season, its one of those things it come back to bite us, whiting, lynch, and watts cost us more, terrible defence in our 20. its few and far between holdsworth kicking will cost us, we have won games were we have been outscored before, always thought this was a bannana skin, cas were playing well, and plus side miller got full game and looked good in second half, this loss will be a small consilation if we go on to better things this season as miller gets better with the players, our attack was always going to be scratchy with a new player, onwords and upwords

Should have kept Foster instead of the useless pudding that is Crookes.

Foster's poor. If it wasn't for his goal-kicking he wouldn't be in SL.

Agree with that, look at the game he had at Magic Weekend, was shocking! He's enthusiastic when he carries the ball but there's not a lot of quality there.

Similar to crookes then except he can kick goals. Maybe it was the weight of a court case hanging over his head that stopped crookes from jumping when they scored their 1st try last night

The options are DJ, Crooks or Westerman. I think DJ has the best percentage hence why he is picked. I wonder if Miller will be tried out unless Tickle is back.
