a better coach would be getting just a few % more out of every player, and the gulf from 3rd to 14th in SL is not that large. It would not be hard to return to the 4th/5th positions we have enjoyed under Mcrae, Kear and Sharp.
I also don't buy this 'own team' stuff either, yes coaches like to have a certain style of play. But not many coaches would have turned Long, O'Meley and Fitzbiggon down given the chance. Of the players OOC I doubt we'd have signed many different players no matter who the coach was...any coach would have signed a no7 and tried to boost the pack. |

Im attracted to you - I was just flicking through = I really do not hold with the 'Sack the Coach' idea but yes you are right = but were does that leave us - Jon Sharp - he is one of my all time favourite players but I think he is part of the problem (on the field) I do not want him as Head Coach = Rich Agar as assistant but to who I do not know |

Was talking about this the other day. Half expect Agar and Rule to have agreed to a target for next season when they are Agars 'own' players. I reckon he has set a target of winning 5 or 6 out of the first 8 next year or he is gone. Sadly that means we are stuck playing crap rugby this season and no doubt Agar and Sharp will probably make us play poor tactics with better players next season to scrape wins rathers than hammering teams to hide their failings. |
