I am neither brain dead nor will thank you for doing something like that. Regardless of our opinions about whether the right calls are been made here we all need to get behind Pearson and the club. If AP wants Cooke as part of the new setup then that is AP's decision and Cooke will get my full support.

He got screwed over for a testimonial in favour of Paul King (a player who only really seemed to put it in when he needed a new contract) - so we screwed him over if anything

Cooke signed for Hull in 1999 and left 8 years later in 2007 so I'm struggling to understand how he could have been due a testimonial.

Wasnt that contract he walked out on for a further 2 years though so would have seen the testimonial at the end?

Not the whole truth, Kings was one year, his could have easily been the next or the one after, but before Hornes

I believe you have to have a contract in place that would run through until the end of your testimonial (unless the RFL overrule)

Did Cooke sign for us in 1999 when he would have been 18 or is that when he made his debut? Just thinking that if he was at the club before that say on a youth contract from say 16 (1997) that he was maybe due his testimonial in 2007?

Also on the Paul Cooke debacle, me personally my attitude is life's too short. I thought he was a complete an utter ....... at the time but if he can contribute positively to Hull FC I can live with him been involved. I think we all have made choices to different degrees for selfish reasons. As for we never recovered from him leaving well that was up to the Directors etc to rectify, which they failed to do time after time.



I just hope whoever is put in place gets the backing of the supporters and the club does not hype expectations up to an unrealistic level. If they do we will find ourselves back here again in a year or so. Whoever is appointed needs to be given realistic goals and time frames that everybody can buy in to and then fans can easily see progress or lack of it.
