HOWEVER smoking contributes far more to the development of other diseases (aswell as cancer) such as chronic obstructive airways disease, exacerbation of asthma, emphysema, heart disease etc etc.

I dont smoke and think those that smoke at the KC in the toilets are selfish. Passive smoking is just as bad as the habit itself.

WRONG. It's only against the SMC Policy. There is nothing legally to prevent a stand or part of the stand to be made into a smoking area.

Interesting article in the League Express this week, Its headed NRL bans Thugs, quite a strange heading when you consider that one of the bans was for 5yrs, for failing to follow instructions to leave the stadium, for violating the no smoking rules

Interesting to see that the Stewards at Rovers failed to expel 6000 fans at the Hudds game for abusing Thaler after appeals from the tannoy. Chickens

It did actually say, for not following instructions to leave the stadium, Naughty boy must have ignored the exit signs, its a good job the Hull fans followed the instructions after 60 mins, when we won 6-42 or 14,000 banning orders would have tied the courts up for weeks

You are actually correct. I've made a few calls myself on this one. It seems you CAN get ejected from the stadia but it is NOT against the law...against the rules yes and technically they can ban you (rules after all) but you cannot be prosecuted.

As for the stadium the same applies.... as does Wigan and Hudds etc which are similar grounds..... they do have a roof but do NOT conform to 3 sides being closed (including the roof) which is the law. It's quite clear...the law is one thing, the rules are another.

There is also NOTHING in the govts. smoking ban that covers footy grounds, rugby etc...as long as they don't have an enclosed roof.

Oh and someone mentioned within 10 feet or something from the outside?
