This is a great appointment in my view - Richard Agar and co are to be applauded on showing common sense for not losing all the experience Glen Morrison has. Nothing whatsoever to do with what he has done for us in the past (although he has been a great player for us) but more for what he can do for us in the future!

All we need now is a bustling, no nonsense prop forward and a Stand Off.......

I agree about the signing hype for sure but can't agree with Cedar court, it was about a lottery and the ground bit got added at the last moment, thats the bottom line.

We got a lottery (and its a important lottery) and some crayon pics of some new stands, so i'm not moaning but i ain't kidding myself either.

Agree, the club just said it would be good news and if you want to hear it first hand go to the shop, can't see how anyone would come to the conclusion that they'd been hoodwinked, unless they'd been paying a little too much attention to normycat, on here.

The club have actually used a bit of PR and marketing lately and I really like what I've seen so far and the direction it's going.

Like you say as it turned out, the Cedar Court meeting was probably the difference between us getting in SL and not getting in.

I agree.we are in super league against all odds,new coach,some quality signings and now Glen staying to help the 1st team and most likely the youth in the future.it's a new era,get on board,enjoy the ride and stop wingeing.

even though I'm pleased to hear Morrison is stopping on a year it wasn't the announcement that I was expecting and also what is happening to Tony Drury is he still got a part to play in the coach of the under 20s

I was told more about the good news from the a Membership officer- an employee of the club i was told a "notable overseas half back" and had a name confirmed.



This obviously now isn;t the case, so I was hoodwinked but not by normy cat or anyone else but by this club employee.. in true fan style I then spread the word to all my mates and a number of the go down to the shop and whilst I am thrilled glen has signed tinge of dissappointment also ......

Is it bad PR or a gullible supporter? I don't mean to be disrespectful, but if the club are trying to create a mystique and interest in the store opening, why would a membership officer then go and tell all beforehand?



As for other people being underwhelmed, nobody from the club ever billed the signing as a major one, I believe the phrase used was 'One that will make many people happy'. We had a couple of vague tweets and the forum rumour mill took 2+2 and turn it into 5.
