I'd much rather have Sammut than Eastmond - I've been talking about him for ages and distinctly remember lamenting the fact that we weren't in for him last season, when he appeared at Crusaders shortly after we'd offloaded Brough, effectively ending our season. He's a cracking player and would almost certainly become a crowd favourite at BV.

When are we likely to hear something official?

Eastmond hasn't signed anything, just heard that from somebody at the club. They don't think Wakefield even approached him.

On Radio Leeds, when JK was asked about the expected signing, he stated that the expected arrival was about a month away. To me this points to an overseas signing or one with some 'complications'.

Maybe it's someone connected with hickey? It's Anyones guess really. Hopefully hickey will be on board as soon as and we will then look strong in the forwards.

Really can't see it being eastmond. Haven't got a clue who it could be

Earlier in the week JK said that he hoped Hickey would have a run-out against Doncaster

Heard the rumour about Eastmond last week, but got told on good authority yesterday it's not, it's Semi..

Personally I hope it's not. I never saw him as being that reliable and don't always think it's a good thing to bring back a blast from the past.

Yep...have to agree...he had his good games for us and scored some good tries, but he also had his bad games too, and I think we could do better !!

Wigan fans on the northern terrace commented we had signed Eastmond till the end of the season, but we all believe what we want to here .
