It is at the end of the day an attempt at fraudulently not paying your taxes if you end up with that. I don't see how a sports team in this day and age can get their taxes so wrong I mean surely they can all afford at least an expert lawyer I mean my uncles a lawyer and I believe he is on around 35k a year so needing a lawyer for a few weeks or even for a full year cant exactly be the most expensive thing in the grand scheme of things.
Anyway this topic wasnt about that it was about the stadium and the tax thing is a reason you cant afford it. I was sympathising with you all I would hate Wigan to be in this mess but I had it thrown back in my face as though I was subversively mocking you instead.

There has to be an intention to deceive for it to be fraud.
So you are suggesting all the sporting clubs in soccer,rugby union,rugby league etc.....that have used image rights have committed fraud?

Cos Wigan have never bent the rules have they,what about (allegedlly)Steve Renouff playing for £10,000 a year while his wife working in the shop was earning a reported £45,000 a year?
Oh and wasn't it (allegedlly) Chris Radlinski that played half a season for free?
Oh and in the year that Wigan managed to avoid relegation wasn't it (allegedlly) Stuart Fielden who was only paid a pittance but the next tax year saw his wage increase astronomically?
And they're just three from the top of my head!

Fair point,but you cant just give up on the youth of today(however thick they may appear),we must continue to try and educate them.

I'm a Wigan fan, yes but I'm a RL fan first but you all seem to ignore this fact and bring my club allegiances into it.
