Quote bloomers="bloomers"I feel you are overreacting a little, the majority of the thread isn't that bad.
For what it is worth I was impressed by your fans on Saturday, a large turnout in a game that could easily have been watched at home or in the pub (something I fear too many of the folk of Wakey do). I didn't see any trouble; passion and extreme one-eyedness, but no behaviour overstepping the bounds. Your lot have a reputation and that is something you'll just have to shake off over time, but for me the last I saw of it was a bit of bin throwing way back in 1998.
As far as your ground goes, it isn't so much the state of it and it isn't for me about an our ground vs your ground thing. The problem with your place is the sheer unwelcoming nature of it; not in the intimidating atmosphere sense, just the fact the club seems determined to make it an unpleasant experience for away fans - wilfully delaying at the turnstile, charging higher for worse seats, stewarding out of the dark ages, etc. it doesn't help that it is something officials at KR have suggested they are proud of.'"
I think the main problem is that opposition fans jump on a bandwagon without any just cause, we all know we have some idiots but I am also sure we have anecdotal evidence about trouble from all fans. I remember our last year in NL1 when we were slated by Widnes fans for vandalising cars, one even claimed to have had her wing mirror torn off, but p[osted it around 35 mins after full time (must have been in a harrier jet).
The vast majority (greater than 99%) of our fans travel without any bother, we have some great times bantering with the opposition of all fans in the local pubs at away games, mostly without any hassle. Most of the fans on Saturday were well behaved and as has been said signed your petition (myself included in the hope you get your ground) and have donated to all funds (Prekkies, Brennan Rooney's and Adam Watene's), it just gets a bit tiresome when all the $hit stirrers on RL Fans get on the 'lie' bandwagon.
Our chairmen was right in a recent interview with a fanzine when he was asked if he looked on forums, he said 'I sometimes go on the un-official site, but never on the RL fans site because of all the lies and $hit stirring(paraphrased) that goes on).
Oh, as for the overcharging for crap seats, it cost me £46 on Saturday for two adults and a child to stand behind a goal on a crumbling terrace that belongs in the 1920's, at least for an extra two quid you get a seat at ours.
