As for Max he is now our No1 FB that's for sure. Its now up to Grix to wait and earn it back.





Also lets not forget we have another young FB waiting in the wings in Hooley.

I know strength will come with the training and age which is why I said he is not naturally blessed with it, It was not a criticism at all, if anything it was a compliment to how his class goes beyond these attributes... I meant blessed with the pace of the likes of Shaul, Tomkins etc, I know he is no slouch but he does not have the pace to outrun most in SL like these guys do or did have at one stage in there career. As I say it was not a criticism.

Looks pretty quick to me and had plenty to finish the try off on Sunday. I always thought he was the best fullback at the club, Grix coming in has been good as he probably couldn't sustain a full season previously however he's got a few years behind him in development and it's definitely his shirt to lose in my opinion. I just hope Grix doesn't waltz back in as that will be a proper kick in the nuts for Jowitt.

Brilliant news. Max has taken 2017 on the chin, gone away and come back a better player. Would be unfortunate to not see the season out in the full back berth.

Agree with everything said on all four. With regard to Max, when we played leeds i thought the raves on Jack Walker was ott, & for motm, I thought Max was superior on the night especially that pass for Tupou taking out a two man tackle

I just hope Grix continues developing Max in decision making & positioning.

Nice to see additional players like Batchelor and Jowitt getting recognition and being selected for the two England squads after Reece Lyne and Tom Johnstone were included earlier in the year. Scratching my head about what Matty Ashurst has to do to get similar recognition though, think he’s played consistently well for us week in week out for ages...
