He wasn't that bad a player, his major issue was his reputedly vastly inflated wage. Now that wasn't his fault, that was the imbeciles who wrote out his contract. He had his good moments, for example his individual try at wigan this year was as good as we scored all season and his interception try at magic weekend in 2012 against Cas turned the game and directly lead to us winning the game. He has a presence on the field and a decent degree of versatility, speed and size, he just didn't warrant the near 100k all in salary he earned. But i doubt he has walked for nothing and rightly so, the clueless actions of some continue to haunt us. But i wish vince well, if he had been on no more than thirty or forty grand we'd have seen him in an entirely different light.

I thought he was decent in spells. He had a bad round of form In the centres particularly but thought he was solid in the forwards. Best of luck to him and his family.

A good summation. My major issue with Mellars, and a fair number of other players, is how much Trinity have paid them not to play for the club. No doubt it adds up to a sizeable figure. 

What I was saying jinjer old lad is, if there was someone there who looked like Michael carter but wasn't him ,its unlikely he'd be talking about mellors,does that make sense , if it doesn't one of us is thick
