Just one of those things. JD's defence unfortunately let them back into it, but I can't really criticise any of the players. They attacked as a coherent unit and defended their hearts out. If Leeds had crushed us like they did Hull, we would have accepted it as they are champions.



Not sure about the top eight now. The teams around us are hitting form, and we haven't got much chance of two more next week. The home game against Cas could be the one that spurs us on or stuffs the season.



At some point tonight my blood pressure will return to safe levels.

I'm as p'ed off as anyone about the result but come on, the guys all played well against the current champions, who usually give us a right tonking.

If we lose to St.s next week as well we may drop a few places but we will have effectively lost to teams 1-2-3. If we beat the rest, and quite a few of the remaining games are very possible on todays form, we will be back in the 8 and aiming for 5.



It might be disappointing to lose like we did, but at least we are upset about dropping from top to middle with an unlucky loss to the champs....when at beginning of season many were expecting a basement battle with Salford and Celtic.



Lets just move on and accept that through a couple of small errors in both attack and defense we lost a game we were expected to lose.

1-17 played well. Need to do it again that's all.

couldnt agree more quality post. sums up tonight on a different night may have been the other way round. i hate losing just as much as anybody but throwing the teddy out of the cot doesnt help anybody. seeing the boys lose with so much pride and passion makes a bitter pill slightly easier to swallow. some people annoy me so much it appears they would rather see us get battered and show so little passion than get behind the boys. great atmosphere tonight i havent heard belle vue that loud in a long time. here to an entertaining push for the top 8. if we show that much pride passion and belief as we did tonight i think a top 8 tour is odds on

Why do people keep rising to the bait? If he isn't wearing rugby union tops because he can't buy a medium, he's highlighting lightbulb issues in the gents. The gentleman has made his choice and won't be supporting the club in future. I'm sure we can all live with his decision.

good point. have just seen sam obst interview on sky for recieving MoM he seemed gutted. saw korki stood on his own on final hooter he looked close to tears. its not just us fans who suffer the true passionate players will feel the pain more than us.

A heartbreaking way to lose a game, but it shouldn't detract from a terrific effort and performance from the lads. That's got to be the best overall performance we've had for a while and was a hugely entertaining game.



We've lost narrowly to two very good sides in the last couple of weeks and now face a daunting trip to the league leaders. After that though if we can match what we've put into tonight on a regular basis til the end of the season I reckon we'll be in a play-off spot.

A great game for us neutrals to watch. If I was a Wakey fan i'd be proud of the boys tonight, they gave all they had, unfortunately they ran out of steam with about 10 mins left. I knew Leeds were going to come back and win all be it not so late in the game. I do fear for you guys in the coming weeks though as the way in which you lost will have given the players a huge kick in the balls and next week you'll see a lethargic Wakey get hammered. It happens with most teams who lose closely the week before after pushing their bodies to the limit.
