didnt we play cas on boxing day when wally was over here was about 11000 there. didnt he turn up late rumour had it he was hammered in the royal oak where he was staying. he was still bloody good second half though but we lost the game

The best tackler I have ever seen for Trin apart from Belly was Wally's minder Lindsey Gill got sent off so Wally started complaining to ref and he got sent off as well. Also Gill wore the most ridiculous boots with bright orange flashes long before it was fashionable !!!

Defo Wally Lewis can remember being 12/13 and seeing this player do things on a rugby player I have never seen before passes from the half way, kicking that is now taking for granted. A world class player playing for your small hometown team for £1000 a week, wearing the best ever Trinity kit...remember that Adidas strip what i would pay for one of those tops



He was and still is my all time hero but everything seems better when you were younger. My thoughts of him were slightly tinted though when he was going to sign for Wigan the next season but all the players revolted because of the money he was going to get paid.
