What about Motu Tony for his experience & reading of the game from the full back position, or why not put some responsibilty on Jarrad Hickey`s shoulders. You never know by having to lead from the front you would may get more time on the pitch with him.

When we signed howarth it said him and Vievers for 2011 season? Where does it say 2012?

I was sat next to him on Tuesday and asked him.

Serious question, how important is who the captain is? Apart from talking to the ref, and shouting at everyone behind the sticks, do they do anything else?

It could be easily resolved by the club releasing a list of players that are out of contract and to be released.

In my opinion he is the man that the younger inexperienced players look to for confidence and support. Most captains are noble and will give 110% each week no matter who the opponent is. A captain has to be inspirational when the heads begin to drop.



There's also the off the field side of things that have to be considered. They usually have a lot of formal sponsorship functions that they have to attend as well as visiting schools and such like.



I know when I was growing up and watching Bradford Bulls during their record breaking years the one player I looked up to was Robbie Paul. For me he possesses everything required of a captain.

i'd go for Howarth or Southern. Washbrook may even have a shout as well.

Id keep Morro for another year and not have to think about it.

He has a real work ethic & desire to be successful over here. The last few tweets were specifically him talking about how he intends to maintain his hours in the gym over the off-season, to which I replied that was an honourable attitude & that it would be rewarded, "sure will mate"- A very refreshing attitude to hear from a foreign player coming to play SL from the NRL.



From what I've seen of him play he is a real grafter, someone who leads by example in defence & has a good attacking dimension to their game too. I think he'll really fit in well over here.
