I'm sure he had a plan B with the squad he had, but I'm sure no one expected 3 such influencial players to leave in such quick succession. Nobody can plan for that.

Quality players don't become available half way through the season. The only exception to this was Brough, and that was largely due to his personal situation (or so we're told!)

Sorry the 4 months was referring to the time to come up with a plan b to work with what he has got in the squad

I get what you're saying, but with the players he had left he didn't have much choice. All of them work well with players like Brough pulling the strings, and although he gives 100% every time he plays, you can't build a side around players like Sam Obst.

Not to us they don't; they did to Shudds and the Bronco's though.



For me, Kear has passed his sell by date; this season has exposed him and his over-reliance on players who have brought him past glory. If he had any decency, he'd walk at the end of the season.

And both were due to personal reasons beyond John Kear's control.

Your missing a key point. Whilst the departure of Brough was a start to the downward spiral, we did not start loosing by such large scorelines until Kear had tried unsuccessfully to get two other jobs

I would argue it started at Warrington away, and although we beat Castleford on Good Friday, it was a dire performance against a very poor Tigers side. The odd win here and there may have disguised it.

JK has done a sterling job in keeping us in SL. That will never be forgotten. But that is all now in the past.



Last season we blew it when we needed to step up to have a go at the Playoffs and this season we have gone from bad to worse.



JK must go. Enough is enough. He wanted out when the Catalans came knocking and in hindsight that would have been perfect for both clubs.



We need to freshen things up. Things have gone stale. Time for a change, a new man at the helm, new ideas, new coaching and fitness staff and someone who can get the best out of what they have, NL experience and someone who knows the NL and who can pick up some bargains to test themselves in SL.
