Newton is 5 years younger and just as good a player though very different - I think we should back JK on this one as he seems to know his stuff.

thing i like about newton is he's a big bugger and defensively less vulnerable than drew. cost wise do you think they will be very similar? newton wont come cheap i dont think but as you say drew would be a bigger gamble for the money.

if drew does go then as latu has a year left i would like sam to revert to stand off if he is staying, need to get away from this playing 3 hookers lark

There's basically 2 types of hooker these days - either the converted scrum half (think Drew or Higham etc) or the prop with good hands (think Cunningham or Moor). Interesting to see how we will go with one of each, could be a nice mix - depending on who he rotates with, seems to be one from Obst, Drew and Latu.

Hope not, don't see the point in fetching Morrison, who will be 34 next season, and Solomona, who will be 32 next season and having constant problems with a shoulder injury, into the club. I don't see how this is a step forward



Where as Tronc, i would like to see him in a trinity shirt next season.

two very good game winners, morrison I have no problem with but solo will end up fetching semi with him as well and then BJ and we end up back to square one

BJ can naff off, but wouldn't complain at Solo and Semi back, worked out for Korky so far so why not them
