They could have said...
In light of recent allegations by the RL & LW the club would like to clarify its posistion in regards to the ownership of the ground.
In 2007 (?? Company) bought BV from the Club for (£????)
They have paid (£???) of it and the club are due (£?????) when they vacate the ground.
We are currently not paying any rent towards the stadium and are paying for the general up keep of the stadium for the time being.
The club refute all allegations in the national press, and have taken legal advice to resolve these matters.
Instead Diane & Ted have a hissy fit, draw more rumours from the public, (if this isnt true then what is??? I have heard that so n so) They've just spread more rumours and gossip.
Either be open and HONEST or do as you have always done and keep your trap shut... ride through rumours and keep the fans guessing?
Ahh I see its the latter.

So its taken them all week to come with a short statement that says nothing.
If they refute it, why don't they set the record straight and end the doubt? This just creates even more unease.
Sums up everything thats wrong with the current incumbants and they can't get the hell out of the club fast enough for me.

If the allegations were not true then surely they would have said who actually owns the ground. Also these articles were published on Monday (correct me if i am wrong) so why has it taken until friday for them to make the statement which probably took all of 2 minutes to write.

As I said on a previous thread this was my biggest fear. What you now have is two groups, group A who think they are right and the other group B is totally wrong.
Group B wanting to defend it's assets and reputation threatens to take the only course of action available to them as they see it - legal action. Thus we have civil war within the club in which should it happen only the Lawyers win.
I think a bit of tongue biting is required as I think it's best for the club that this is handled as amicably as possible no matter how annoyed you may be.

Oh dear, this is so amateurish by the club. They have made us into a laughing stock, this is sheer desperation.
I am a shirt wearing home and away supporter as are the family. I will,be at MM.
Wakefield Trinity have been a passion for years, but i have lost all interest, definitely not going to Barnsley.. I am so glad i had no intention of wasting £1000 on shares, i don't even know who would have received the money.
We are delaying the inevitable, it is just more pain for the long suffering fans. Enter admin, re-invest and re-group. |
