Not for me to second guess our finances or signing policy but we have a knack of signing players under the radar mid season. So although I don’t see any major, especially NRL signings now I certainly would not be surprised later in the season.



It’s also a testament to Trinity’s prowess in the signing stakes and due to this both MC and CC have to play it cagey as I’m certain that what we are up to is of interest to other clubs.

Yeah he is & a really good one, reminds me of say Roby, where he's excellent defensively, tackles well above his size and seems to always make 30+ tackles a game, plays big minutes and has good distribution from from dummy half and although he's not quite got the pace of Clarke, he can spot a gap and also takes on the defensive line.



I'd love him here, he'd add a load to our side imo, a proper class hooker. Obviously though with him being a quality player he'll cost a faor bit. Not sure which team has a quota space and needs a hooker. i know Leeds do but they're already juggling their Quota/non fed places to maybe get Prior over and there's big rumors that they've got Leeming from Hudds. If that's happened I don't know how Hudds stand as far as Cap space or overseas for him to come over. Tbh like I said he's a top notch No.9 and they'r e always wanted, so I'll be really surprised if he doesn't get a deal somewhere in the NRL. Same as when Capwell was getting offered around, he's now signed for Penrith.

Do they have a quota space left?

It's shame you can't sell quota spots if we could sell our two we'd probably be able to build the East stand

Koucash suggested that clubs should be able to sell any unused "marque player" spots. Maybe we could offer one as a sweetener

I can never remember how many you’re allowed to be fair, there’s more reports of Merrin leaving despite him confirming he was a Leeds player for next year and they’re also linked with Matt Prior, they need a Hooker though with Lunt going, only leaves Dwyer.

Doesn’t really matter to Leeds, they’ll get a smacked hand in 2022 of £500 suspended for five years.

You’re probably right but if any club deserves it then Hudds do, what goes around comes around. On this one I’m delighted for Leeds.

Leeming is vastly overrated imo.

I quite like him. I’d have been more than happy to have him with us.

People forget that he's only 24 (just turned), he's a completely different player to what he was 2 or 3 years back. You also won't find too many players with over 120+ Super League games under their belt and an International call up at that age.

When I think of Leeming I just recollect him being one of the main perpetrators of the cheating around the play the ball, now outlawed. He generally comes across as a cheap little ****house. Was ideally suited for Shudds but I'm sure Leeds will hone these attributes even further.

Each club is entitled to five Overseas Players.

An additional rule for Super League clubs is that they can have no more than seven Non-Federation trained players.



What does Overseas and Non-Federation trained mean?



An Overseas Player is someone who does not hold a European passport or is not a national from a Kolpak Nation (Fiji, Tonga, Samoa & Papua New Guinea). More often than not, they will be from Australia or New Zealand.



A Non-Federation trained player is a player who was not trained by an RLEF (Rugby League European Federation) member club for three years before the age of 21.

It was Leeming that wanted to go, so wether he knew what someone else was going to offer or trying to up his own wages I’m not sure, but like they say “ no one is bigger than the club “

Contracts are pointless these days, if a player wants to go somewhere else he will go.



Same if the club wants someone to leave, they just shove them in the reserves untill they walk out.

Contracts have always been this way allegedly.

I still think we should be using all our quota spots.
