I was just thinking, who's the player that's surprised you the most in the time you've been watching Wigan? What i'm meaning is what player really turned out to be either far more than you'd hoped for, or 'pulled something out the bag' that was really out of character - in a positive way, lets keep the thread happy.

1. John Ferguson - everybody was thinking who the hell is this nobody, but oh my lord what a joy to watch in his spell with us

2. Greg Dowling - Big hard prop, but where in the hell did that drop goal come from?

3. Graham West - That run against Hull KR, never seen him move that fast either before or since
